Grove Challengers FC was formed in 1971 to provide an outlet for the boys and girls of Grove to play football. The Club has grown considerably since then, but the principle of providing and safe and secure environment of the boys and girls for Grove to play football, still remains a core principal of the club.
Since the club was formed, many children have passed through the club; some now even back as managers. However a club without the tremendous support and help from all the volunteers this would not be possible. We hope that this continues so that many more boys and girls will benefit in future years. The club currently caters for all ages of children from Under 7S to Under 16S.
In 2008 the club achieved the status of an F.A Charter Standard club. Therefore every manager is now qualified to the FA level 1 coaching standard. Thus the club is constantly improving the standard of the club, coaching for the managers and the quality of football given to the boys and girls.
As a final improvement last year (2008), through a lot of fundraising and help from parents, friends and business, the club now has clubhouse, with changing rooms, toilets, kitchen and a clubroom.
A great achievement and thanks to everyone for helping set up the club for the future.
